Grand Capucin, Bonatti route

Unfortunately Walker Piller on Grandes Jorasses and American Direct on the Drus were impossible to climb because of big rockfalls. The extreme heat had melted the permafrost which held the rock together. The only option to climb something in the Camonix Area in that August was to go on the amazingly steep spire of Grand Capucin.
