Iceland
In July/August 1998 Barbara and I went for a three weeks lasting bicycle trip to Iceland.
Our Route: From Reykjavik we first cycled along the southwestern shores to Selfoss, there we took the bus to the Geyser Strokkur and visited Gulfoss. Then we went via the highland road F208 to Landmannalaugar, then to Skaftafell and along the ring-road to Höfen. From there we took the bus to the lake Myvatn and cycled to Akureyri. As the busses are so expensive in Iceland, we took the plane to get to Isarfjördur. We cycled to the cliffs of Bjargtangar to see puffins and went back by a ferry to Stykkisholmur an by bus to Reykjavik.
